All are welcome to the book launch of Compton Village – Past & Present, written and compiled by former resident of Compton and one-time Chairman of the Parish Council, Fiona Curtis. Compton is a village rich in history and contributions from more than 50 residents, which include photos, newspaper cuttings and anecdotes, have brought this unique history to life. The fully illustrated A4 hardback book covers a wide range of topics on residents over many decades, houses and events. A book launch will be held on Friday 11 October at Compton Club.
The evening starts at 6pm, with Fiona speaking at 7pm.
